The whole school finally celebrated World Book Day following the interruption caused by the snow at the beginning of the month and it was definitely worth the wait!
Some of the highlights included pairing up with another class to share our favourite books; listening to a new story alongside children from across the school; author activities in class; and (perhaps the most popular) a clue hunt around school to decipher a phrase from either Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (KS2) or Where’s Wally (KS1).
The day concluded, as is the tradition here at Burnside, with the reading of the school story which began in Nursery and took a creative journey through each year group before concluding in Year 6. You can even read it here! See if you come across any familiar characters…
